Happy ONE Year Kennedy Layne

I truly can't believe our precious little angel is ONE!!!!!  Seriously, how did this happen?  Kennedy Layne has brought us soooo much happiness.  You can't have a bad day when she is around.  I'm pretty much obsessed with her.  Her constant babbling is adorable and we love watching her learn new things.  We are so very blessed that she came into our family.  We love you forever and always BK!!
Here she is, 11 days new!  It was actually her 1st Valentine's Day!
Her scrawny chicken legs crack me up!!  Top heavy for sure at this point!

Happy 1st Birthday Boot Cakes!!

7 Months

My sweet Kennedy is already 7 months old!!  Time flies!  She is such a joy and her happiness is contagious.

Not the easiest though to get her 'monthly' photos!  This is what she is up to during her 7th month: she rolls around everywhere in the front room.  We moved some furniture so she would have more room to roam.  She now is beginning to get up on her knees and rock back and forth.  We are working on sitting up by herself and she's almost there.  I would say she's about 15-16 lbs (maybe).  She loves to flap her arms and kick her legs ~ especially when she's excited.  I love to listen to the sweet sounds she makes.  Kennedy loves to eat and she has liked everything I have given her so far.  We truly are blessed to have such a sweet little girl!  We love you BK ~ always!!!!
Our awesome neighbor, Ellen, who loves BK!!  Ellen's daughter, Erin, loaned this adorable hat (and an outfit) to Kennedy.  It's too cute on her!  I wish summer wasn't almost over!
She needs to be on a boat.

Thanks to Sylvia

(8/22/11) Sylvia has the eye for photography!  She did such an amazing job taking these beautiful pictures of BK.  I wish she lived closer so we could get these quality of pictures all the time.  Thanks Syl, we love you!

I have the blanket over me holding her.  It was so hot underneath ~ I could barely breathe!!

(8/23/11) This one is for Grammy.  She has every grand kid's picture in this tree ~ all 6 of them.

Adoption

I know you all are going to make fun of me for my obsession with Cabbage Patch Dolls!  I love them!... and so will Kennedy!! :)
Her first one is named Candyce Elyse and her birthday is July 5th!
Gee, and to think Kennedy was just barely bigger than the doll when she was born.

Family Photos 2011 (and moving on)

Thank you so much to Ben and Amber's friend (Bethany Davenport) for coming out to the homestead to capture some great memories.  This will be the last time we get to take family pictures here because my parents are moving!  This is totally bitter sweet and I'm almost tearing up as I write this.  It's a good thing, but very sad at the same point.  Kennedy won't get to grow up here and play like the other grand kids have.  My parents have lived here for the past 28 years!!!  At least we have these great memories to share with her.  Here's to a new chapter....!!

Can't leave out Ethan trying to eat Kennedy!
You were a great place to grow up Fir Grove Road!  You will be missed....

Our Third Anniversary and Clackamas County Fair

Can't believe we are already celebrating our 3rd Anniversary!  Where has the time gone??  So much positive change has happened and we couldn't be more thankful!  A wonderful job for Matt and a beautiful, healthy daughter!!  Thanks babe for being the best!!  I love you!
Matt surprised me with the most beautiful roses!  One dozen red and 1/2 dozen white!  He said he designed it and was pretty proud ~ too cute.  Matt has been saying he wanted cast iron skillets for a long time now... so guess what he got???  I know, I know ~ not cool to get appliances, but what do you get a guy that pretty much only wants expensive power tools or another gun??

It's that time of year again for the Clackamas County Fair!  I love to go and see all the animals, spend time with family and of course get a frozen lemonade on a hot summer day (but this year I got a frozen strawberry/pina coloda).  Yummmmy!
It was so hot this year that the karo syrup that holds her bows on melted!
Chickens!!
Goofy looking duck!
Hayden and Avery enjoying the ducks.
The cutest, smallest baby donkey I've ever seen (I think it was a donkey).  It was adorable!
Before the Fair, we all took a guess on how many piglets there would be... I don't think anyone was right on.  Usually there are a lot more babies in the litter (or what is it for pigs?).  Look at the runt, it's tiny compared to the others.  I hope they are nice to him.

When there are two baby calves born, are they twins??  Who cares, they are ADORABLE!!!!
I love baby cows....

And, I love baby goats!

Sweet Ethan!
