'Some' Birthday Pictures!!...Finally

Sorry it has taken so long, but now that everyone knows I'm pregnant and haven't felt very well - you know why it's been forever!!

7 Months

My sweet Kennedy is already 7 months old!!  Time flies!  She is such a joy and her happiness is contagious.  

Not the easiest though to get her 'monthly' photos!  This is what she is up to during her 7th month: she rolls around everywhere in the front room.  We moved some furniture so she would have more room to roam.  She now is beginning to get up on her knees and rock back and forth.  We are working on sitting up by herself and she's almost there.  I would say she's about 15-16 lbs (maybe).  She loves to flap her arms and kick her legs ~ especially when she's excited.  I love to listen to the sweet sounds she makes.  Kennedy loves to eat and she has liked everything I have given her so far.  We truly are blessed to have such a sweet little girl!  We love you BK ~ always!!!!

Our awesome neighbor, Ellen, who loves BK!!  Ellen's daughter, Erin, loaned this adorable hat (and an outfit) to Kennedy.  It's too cute on her!  I wish summer wasn't almost over!

5 Months and Kennedy's First 4th of July

My sincere apologies for neglecting this blog for SO long!!  The days just get away from me.  Here, sweet Kennedy is 5 months old!  Where has the time gone???  

Just relaxing wishing the photo-shoot was over!

Her first 4th of July!!  She's not very happy in this picture, but soon cheered up for the General Canby Days parade.  Our friends Jen and AJ Howard were kind enough to host a great BBQ and the parade goes right in front of their house.  Unfortunately Matt had to work, so he missed out on all the fun!

Trying to get a good shot for Matt -not successful!  It's not easy when you don't have another pair of hands to help.  Cute thought though, huh??

Sun River Here We Come

We were lucky enough to get invited to go to Sun River with our good friends, Rob and Lila Chambers!  They were participating in the Pacific Crest races and rented a house for a couple days.  This was both Matt and Kennedy's first time there.  Kennedy's first road trip too!  She did awesome!!!

Our friends, Chuck and Sondra, live just past Sun River in La Pine.  They were so kind to invite us over for a delicious dinner.  This is their horse, Poco.  He's huge and Kennedy was NOT a fan!!  She screamed!

Now this is more like her style

Lila ran a 1/2 marathon (13 long miles) Saturday morning.  This is about 8 1/2 miles into the race where we could go and cheer her on.  Sophia was a great cheerleader!

It was pretty early in the morning so Kennedy was still in her jammies (and it was a bit cool).

Bumbo time

This is Jen and Kathy (mother/daughter) and they are so so so dear to my heart!!  We were meant to be in each other's lives and couldn't be luckier!  Love, LOVE them!  Jen ran in the race too, so they made it a girls weekend.  We saw them after the race in the Village, but also ran into them in Downtown Bend.  This was their first time meeting Kennedy.

GOODIES

The only requirement that must take place while in Sun River: get Oreo Cookie ice cream at GOODIES!  It truly is the best in the world, seriously!  I broke the rules though and got some coconut too.  It was awesome!!

Thank you so much Rob and Lila for sharing such a wonderful weekend with us!  It was so much fun and greatly appreciated!  Love you guys!!

Welcome Brendan Tighe Vroman

Our good friends Tighe and Gwen had their first baby, a boy, Brendan Tighe Vroman!!!

He is the only boy out of all our friends that are/were having babies.  He will definitely know how to treat a lady if all our girls have anything to do with it.  He was born June 17th (in the evening) and weighed 8 lb 2 oz and was 21 inches long (I hope I remembered all that correctly). 

We are more than excited that he's here and most of all, healthy!

This is one of the girls, Claire.  She just turned 1 in May.  Claire really wanted to hold Brendan, so we tricked her and let her sit with Kennedy.  The look on Kennedy's face is hilarious.

The happy family, Vroman's!  Congratulations you guys!!  We are so happy everyone is doing well and getting stronger everyday!!

(PS:  March of 2010, the Vroman's, Howard's and us went to Maui for spring break!  Back then, Jen was very pregnant with Claire and Kennedy and Brendan weren't in the works yet.... WOW!  What a difference a year can make).  Life-long friends though!!  Love you guys!
