New Clothes

Kennedy has now grown out of her 0-3 month clothes and into 3-6 month!!!  It's been so fun to dress her in the new summer outfits we have!

Sun River Here We Come

We were lucky enough to get invited to go to Sun River with our good friends, Rob and Lila Chambers!  They were participating in the Pacific Crest races and rented a house for a couple days.  This was both Matt and Kennedy's first time there.  Kennedy's first road trip too!  She did awesome!!!

Our friends, Chuck and Sondra, live just past Sun River in La Pine.  They were so kind to invite us over for a delicious dinner.  This is their horse, Poco.  He's huge and Kennedy was NOT a fan!!  She screamed!

Now this is more like her style

Lila ran a 1/2 marathon (13 long miles) Saturday morning.  This is about 8 1/2 miles into the race where we could go and cheer her on.  Sophia was a great cheerleader!

Go Lila!!  She stopped to give a kiss to her family and get a quick drink.

It was pretty early in the morning so Kennedy was still in her jammies (and it was a bit cool).

Bumbo time

This is Jen and Kathy (mother/daughter) and they are so so so dear to my heart!!  We were meant to be in each other's lives and couldn't be luckier!  Love, LOVE them!  Jen ran in the race too, so they made it a girls weekend.  We saw them after the race in the Village, but also ran into them in Downtown Bend.  This was their first time meeting Kennedy.

GOODIES

The only requirement that must take place while in Sun River: get Oreo Cookie ice cream at GOODIES!  It truly is the best in the world, seriously!  I broke the rules though and got some coconut too.  It was awesome!!

Here Comes Summer

We like to take advantage of the nice weather we sporadically get and go for walks.

Kennedy got new sandals!  These are the first shoes/sandals that actually fit her (size 1).  They are by far my favorite and so fun!

Peanuts

So a couple posts ago I posted about the neighbor giving the squirrels and birds peanuts and they bury them in our yard.... and then my dogs going on peanut hunts.  Well, now Matt and I can join the fun.  While working in the yard awhile back, Matt found a peanut between the down-spout and wall of the house.  Now I look almost everyday to see if a bird has 'hid' another one.  Sure enough, it does!!!  (Don't look at our ghetto A/C - thanks)

I checked the next day and it was gone!

Then I noticed a blue bird sitting on the edge of our hanging plant.  Later I went out to see if it 'hid' a peanut, and sure enough it did!!!

2 New Toys

Her face is priceless in the first picture.  She was in shock!  This 'Jumperoo' was a great purchase by Grammy for the grand kids!  We are so lucky that it's still in really good shape for Kennedy to play in.  She's not quite to the jumping stage, but she loves to play with the toys on it.  Thanks Grammy!

This toy just wears her out!  So stinkin' cute I must say.  Thanks to the Vroman's for letting us borrow this until Brendan is big enough for it.  We were going to purchase one, but they are $100.  Who knew??  Kennedy absolutely loves it though.  She turns herself around and plays with all the toys.  Before you know it, she's fast asleep!  These were two different occasions.  Sweet baby!

Welcome Brendan Tighe Vroman

Our good friends Tighe and Gwen had their first baby, a boy, Brendan Tighe Vroman!!!

He is the only boy out of all our friends that are/were having babies.  He will definitely know how to treat a lady if all our girls have anything to do with it.  He was born June 17th (in the evening) and weighed 8 lb 2 oz and was 21 inches long (I hope I remembered all that correctly). 

We are more than excited that he's here and most of all, healthy!

This is one of the girls, Claire.  She just turned 1 in May.  Claire really wanted to hold Brendan, so we tricked her and let her sit with Kennedy.  The look on Kennedy's face is hilarious.

The happy family, Vroman's!  Congratulations you guys!!  We are so happy everyone is doing well and getting stronger everyday!!

(PS:  March of 2010, the Vroman's, Howard's and us went to Maui for spring break!  Back then, Jen was very pregnant with Claire and Kennedy and Brendan weren't in the works yet.... WOW!  What a difference a year can make).  Life-long friends though!!  Love you guys!

Visitors

We were so lucky to get some AWESOME and much over-due visitors mid June!  My beloved cousin Linny and her wonderful husband Jared (aka: Walnut Mustache) stopped by on their way home from Jared's sisters wedding up in Washington.  It was almost a tease because it was so short, but we loved being able to introduce sweet Kennedy and get some lovin' in.

The cousins..... this took about 6 or 7 shots to get a descent picture.

AND, we even got more WONDERFUL visitors.  This is my second mother and pretty much another sister to me.  Lori is here visiting from her new home in Maui!!!!  Ellilea and Clara live here in Lake Oswego.  It's always a good time when we get to spend time together.  Love you guys, so much!!!
