Twinners!!!

We are copying a post done my Aunt Amber regarding her and Uncle Benny being twins last week for church.  

The jammies on the cabbage patch are Preemie size, which Kennedy wore in the NICU but grew too long for pretty quick.  We loved these jammies and Grammy was nice enough to go and buy the Newborn size so she would have them to wear when she came home.  Now we have TWINNERS (and aren't they so cute??)!!

Where is Kennedy??  She's getting ready to star in Toy Story 4.  In this photo, she is one day shy of her original due date (March 24th).  Can't believe she's already 7 weeks old.  We love her so so much!!

This is what we do with the clothes that Kennedy has out-grown!  Matt thinks it is really creepy!  I love it!  These were some of my first dolls I had as a child.  The pink outfit is for up to 7 lbs and the purple polka dot is for a preemie.  This kinda gauges what size she was.

We also have hit an other mile stone.  Kennedy graduated up to a newborn diaper from the preemie!  Yeah!! The only reason we knew to go up was because we had two leaky diapers... fun!

Kennedy loves her swing (we do too).  She may look a little frightened here, but I assure you it's not the swing she's scared of, it's probably me because I haven't showered yet!  That's the story of my life these days.  I usually get my shower in at 9:00 PM.  At least I get one, right??

So proud

On Monday, March 14th, 2011, Matt 'graduated' from training with Portland Fire Bureau.  This was a big day that we've waited for for a very long time, not to mention worked so hard for as well.  There was a short ceremony where he got his official badge and they also upgraded to yellow helmets from their black training helmets.  Matt got to apply the paramedic sticker to his helmet. 
               

Matt is really going to miss his 'crew' (B shift).  They have been together almost every day since May 2010, truly becoming a family.  From here they all split up and go to different stations around the Portland area.  Well done Joe, Josh, Carver and Matt!  Be careful saving lives.  We appreciate everything you do. CONGRATULATIONS ~ YOU DID IT!!!!!!!

Sleeping Baby Means...

I get to spend my time with this guy, Mr. Symphony!  He's not the greatest of company ~ quite boring if you ask me.

Poor Matt gets no attention ~ I don't know if he will throw a tantrum after this Thursday or not?!  His final is this Thursday and then he won't be studying 24/7 anymore (yeah)!!!  Meaning he will have time to be super helpful.  We can't believe it's already come to the end of training and are super excited!  I know he will do amazing!

The adorable accessories are from my two wonderful sister in-laws.  Thanks Sylvia for the perfect headband, and thanks Amber for the cute owls!!  And if you can see the little bracelet hiding -thanks to Terrie!!

We can't believe Kennedy is already a month old!  The time sure has flown.  She is just the perfect little baby and we love her more than we could have imagined!  She had her second doctor's appointment with the pediatrician to make sure she is gaining weight on 3/4/2011... and hooray she broke the 6 pound mark.  We were so happy!

Kennedy's First Sponge Bath

It probably was not the best idea to try and give Kennedy her first sponge bath right before her feeding time ~ but as first time parents, who knew??  Well, we found out!! 

She was not too thrilled with us.  Needless to say ~ we made it a quick bath!
